I’ve been waiting for this instrument for years—I never would have thought it possible that a new instrument could combine the qualities of the old Elkhart Conn bass trombones with modern playing and construction techniques. What won me over was the instrument’s sound—beautifully focused, yet full-bodied with plenty of overtones, very vocal, and at the same time crisp enough for big band music. And yet the instrument is very light in weight—a marvel of craftsmanship.
